John Cena Opens Up About Why He Doesn’t Want Kids — “Children Will Distract Me from Enjoying Life”
WWE superstar and Hollywood actor John Cena has finally opened up about his decision not to have children — a topic that has sparked curiosity and debate for years. The 47-year-old actor, who is married to Shay Shariatzadeh, made it clear that he and his wife are not interested in raising kids or adopting any.
According to Cena, he simply doesn’t have the time or desire to be responsible for raising a child. He believes that having children would distract him from enjoying life and his time with his wife.
“They are a blessing, but I don’t want to have any children, and I won’t adopt,” Cena said. “Children will distract me from enjoying my time on earth.”
The wrestler-turned-actor made these bold statements during an interview on CLUB SHAY SHAY, where he spoke openly about his personal life and choices.
“I don’t want them. I’m 47. I don’t have them. I have a certain curiosity about life. And I also know the investment that it takes,” he explained. “My biggest fear… I don’t think, personally, I’m ready nor will I ever be, to invest the time.”
Cena also reiterated his point at FAN EXPO, saying that his busy career schedule leaves no room for parenting responsibilities.
“I have been working straight for 43 days now, and I got another 20 to go… so I don't want to make an irresponsible choice and bring a life into the world that I will neglect.”
John Cena’s honest confession may come as a shock to some fans, especially since many celebrities choose to start families later in life. However, Cena’s focus remains on his career, marriage, and living life on his own terms.
His words serve as a reminder that not everyone is meant to follow the traditional path of marriage and children, and that happiness can take many different forms.
