The Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has confirmed that the highest-earning pensioner on its payroll now receives GHS 201,792.37 per month, following the 2025 indexation increase.
According to SSNIT officials, including Deputy Public Affairs Manager Ms. Jemimah Ofori, the increment reflects long-term contributions made under PNDC Law 247 and forms part of the 12% pension adjustment for 2025.
While the top pensioner earns over GHS 201k, the lowest pension for 2025 stands at GHS 515, highlighting Ghana’s wide pension income gap. SSNIT says the adjustments are meant to protect retirees from inflation and ensure fairness in benefit payments.
