VIDEO: 15-Year-Old Commentator Travels 18 Hours, Gets Denied — Then Turns Hill Into a Broadcast Studio for 47K Viewers

Fifteen-year-old Cliver Huamán, better known online as “Pol Deportes,” made headlines for his extraordinary dedication after being denied entry to the Copa Libertadores Final. The young football fan had travelled more than 18 hours by bus from his hometown to the match venue, hoping to commentate the final.

When accreditation and stadium access were refused, Cliver didn’t give up. Instead, he and his manager took a moto-taxi to a nearby hill, climbed to a vantage point overlooking the stadium, and started a live broadcast of the game on his phone — using only a tripod, a mic, and his passion.

His improvised livestream was a huge success: at its peak, it drew around 47,000 live viewers, and the video has since amassed over 10 million views.

The grassroots success story has turned Cliver into a symbol of perseverance and creativity — a reminder that love for the game can overcome barriers, big or small. Many fans and media outlets are now watching closely, calling his stunt a triumph of passion over privilege.
